Why Join the APA?
Having fun, meeting new people and playing pool is what the APAnyc is all about. You don't have to be a daily or highly skilled player to play APA because in the APA -- we use our exclusive handicapping system to ensure that everyone can play and anyone can win! But mainly, we all want to have a good time together. The APA caters to beginners, novices and intermediate players, because it is, after all, the Amateur Poolplayers Association.
No other organization in NYC pool gives ordinary, casual players a chance to win a share of millions of dollars worth guaranteed cash and prizes paid out through its local and national team and singles tournaments.
How does the APA do it? As mentioned above we use The Equalizer® handicap system to determine the amount of games a player has to win in order to capture the match. It allows a novice to win less games than a more-skilled opponent to win a match.
Try APA today and play, learn, improve, win, meet people and make great friends!
